
Suzy Phillips who has over 20 years experience in development individuals, teams and organisations, established Creative Connexions in 2004. She also has a team of experienced associate consultants, known to her for many years, with public and private sector backgrounds.
About our Director - Suzy Phillips
Suzy has a Masters in Management Development from Roffey
Park and the University of Salford. She is a member of the British
Psychological
Society and Certificated at Level A & B in psychometric testing
and is IPD qualified. She also has a Certificate in Creativity and Innovation from the IATE.
Suzy previously worked as a management consultant and trainer
in variety of organisations and chiefly as a Senior Consultant
at Salomons. Here she designed and delivered a range of development
interventions including:
- action learning
- coaching
- mentoring
- development and assessment work
- team building
- skills development
- leadership and change management programmes
She was also Programme Director for the Certificate in Leadership and Management and the MSc Accelerated Management Development Programme. Prior to that she managed regional graduate training schemes, was Head of HR and a Regional Development Adviser for the NHS, where she lead teams and designed and delivered interventions to development staff at all levels.
In 2003, Suzy was accredited by the NHS Leadership Centre and NatPaCT, to facilitate transformational change action learning sets and team/leadership development. The learning sets were established for Directors and Chief Executives, leading the implementation of huge systems and organisational change.
Suzy is an experienced and qualified practitioner in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Transactional Analysis and the Margerison McCann Team Management System. She has a Bachelor of Education in English and Education, a Teaching Certificate and has undergone training in NLP, Group Leadership and Nancy Kline’s ‘Thinking Partnership’. Suzy is also accredited to provide feedback via the Leadership Qualities Framework and 360◦feedback tool designed by Hay and Right Coutts.
The difference she makes is her insight about people development and the support she gives individuals, to enable their growth and encourage personal responsibility for development and learning. Suzy particularly enjoys introducing creative techniques to help others increase understanding of their strengths and development areas and reflecting on how to move forward. She is a keen potter, artist and plays the piano and guitar. She enjoys creative writing and has written a book on Creativity in the development of ourselves and others – which includes the following statement:
